Honey Singh Faces Backlash for ‘Sleazy’ Comments at Delhi Concert; Netizens Dub Him ‘Horny Singh’
Rapper-singer Yo Yo Honey Singh is facing fresh controversy after a video from his recent Delhi concert went viral online. In the clip, the singer is seen making a vulgar remark, seemingly encouraging people to have sex in cars, which has sparked outrage among social media users.
The incident took place at Nanku and Karun’s concert in Delhi earlier this week. In the viral video, Honey Singh says:
“Oh my god, it’s cold in Delhi. It’s fun to have sex in the car in this weather. So, have sex in the car but use condoms, guys, please. Play safe!”
Social media quickly slammed the rapper for the comment, calling it “cheap,” “problematic,” and “deeply disappointing.” Users mocked him, dubbing him “Horny Singh” or “Yo Yo Horny Singh.”
Many criticized Honey Singh for his history of vulgar content, with one user pointing out, “His rise to fame began with a song that reduced Indian women to sexual objects, catering to a perverted audience. That’s essentially his core identity.” Others questioned why he was invited to perform at prominent events, including the WPL opening ceremony, given his controversial image.
Some comments tried a sarcastic tone, noting that Honey Singh was giving a “casual sex education” of sorts, while others simply dismissed his behavior as nonsense.
