The makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups unveiled the film’s first official teaser on January 8, marking the birthday of its lead star Yash. The high-octane teaser has drawn praise from filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who took to social media to express his admiration for the clip.

The teaser opens on a sombre note with a funeral scene, followed by visuals of a family hurriedly exiting the cemetery. The mood shifts as a car pulls up and a man steps out, later revealed to be Raya. Shirtless at first, he slips into a black overcoat, lights a cigarette, and unleashes gunfire on the grieving family. The teaser ends with Yash delivering a striking line: “Daddy’s home.”
According to the film’s synopsis, Toxic is set in a bygone era and unfolds in the coastal landscape of Goa. Beneath its sun-soaked beaches and vibrant culture lies a powerful drug cartel that operates from the shadows, controlling the region.
Initially scheduled for release in December 2025, the period gangster drama has been postponed due to production delays and will now arrive in theatres on March 19 next year. The film features Yash in the lead role, supported by an ensemble cast that includes Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi, and Sudev Nair. The film is set to clash at the box office with Dhurandhar Part 2.
Meanwhile, Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently unveiled the first look of his upcoming film Spirit on New Year’s Eve. Starring Prabhas and Tripti Dimri, the film is slated for a 2026 release.
